Rail Quantity Surveyors (All Levels)

Salary: 25-50000 GBP

Professional Skills:

Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying and Estimating experience. You will be expected to work within a team responsible for a variety of construction and engineering projects.

Duties will generally comprise but not be limited to:

- Measuring and describing building and civil engineering construction work including the preparation of tender documentation
- Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
- Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
- Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
- Preparing interim applications for payment
- The preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Management and control of projects
- Deal with contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and or expense claims, terms and conditions etc with assistance where appropriate

Specification:
You will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the building construction and/or civil engineering profession, be chartered or have relevant experience with demonstrable acquired knowledge or skills in the following areas:

- The building construction, rail and/or civil engineering industry
- IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Good presentation and interpersonal skills
- Client Management
- Experience can be from any rail related discipline - civils, telecommunications, signaling etc.

Demonstrate a good all round knowledge of the following:

- Building Construction and/or Civil Engineering Technology
- Measurement Practice and application
- Mechanical Services Technology
- Electrical Services Technology
- Public Health Technology
- Construction Law and Practice
- Commercial Management Practices
