Vacancies exist for high calibre Engineers to join the Manchester and Liverpool offices of a reputable design consultancy. As a result of continued growth along with a diverse range of project work, this represents an excellent opportunity for ambitious candidates.

The successful candidates will be Chartered or near Chartered (IStructE or ICE) with a proven track record in building structures. They will have experience in the structural design of all materials and forms of construction including steelwork, loadbearing masonry, timber frame, foundations and general infrastructure work.

As important as the technical design ability, the successful individuals will require a sound general understanding of the building process, procurement, design management and control, and interaction with other stakeholders in the construction process. They will also require the ability to work as part of a team in a pleasant office environment to achieve team goals.

The projects are generally building structures related and range in value from Ł1m to Ł10m. The work is varied and includes residential, commercial, industrial and leisure. They are a mult disciplinary consultancy and expect their teams to interact with each other to their mutual benefit.

The remuneration package will reflect the experience of the candidates. Good written and verbal communication skills and client contact skills will be key elements of the selection process.
