The Transportation, Bridges division of an international construction consultancy has been winning significant national and international projects. Due to constant demand for new projects the division wants to continue supporting our capability to deliver high quality, cost effective and tailored engineering solutions to our public and private sector clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Involved on a range of small to large projects which are industry and public high profile
 Carry out and manage all aspects of design including railway and highways bridges
 Working within a Quality Assured environment to produce technically correct results
 Use of structural analysis packages to support bridge design
 Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings
 Manage projects and liasing with clients.
 Contribute to the development of the business by assisting with proposals and marketing information.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION:

 Candidates will already be in possession of relevant academic qualifications, be strongly experienced since post-qualified in chartership (advantage) and able to demonstrate very strong Bridge Engineering Technical competencies.
 Experience of a range of bridge engineering solutions (experience of prestressed and post-tensioned concrete bridges would be additionally beneficial).
 Excellent communication and writing skills and be able to present concise reports.
 Strong IT skills ideally with AutoCAD experience or knowledge of bridge engineering software
 Good time management
 Team and Project management experience.
 Experience of a pro-active attitude to business development desirable
