An experienced Contract Administrator is required to work alongside our client, in the construction of a major Independent Water and Power plant.
Scope of project:
Our client has received a full-turnkey order for the construction of a heavy crude oil-fired thermal power generation and desalination plant. This will include the planning, designing, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning and completion of an 850 (MW) net independent power generation and 212,000 cubic metres per day desalination plant, together with a fly ash disposal facility, fuel oil supply facilities, electrical special facilities, and all associated facilities and infrastructure to be located on site.
The main contractor will construct three (3) steam turbines, boilers, generators and sixteen (16) trains of desalination plant.
The project is estimated to last until November 2010.
The Contract Administrator will be rresponsible for:
- The flow down of the EPC Contract to subcontractors.
- Managing a team of planners and Quantity surveyors.
- Providing contractual advice to the Project Manager.
Experience:
This is an important role on-site and requires a technically capable person with solid commercial experience who can develop good working relationships with colleagues and represent our client’s best interest.
