Role
To work alongside the Main Contractors site management team, reporting to the Contractor’s Site Manager and Contractor’s Project manager.
The individual will be responsible for Contract Administration between the Main Contractor and the Client. He / she will also be responsible for Contract Administration between the Main Contractor and the Sub Contractors.
Responsibilities will include keeping management informed about issues of claims, drafting and defending claims, providing notices and ensuring that procedures are developed and followed. The individual will be required to work closely with the Engineers and construction staff with drafting of letters relating to claim issues.
The individual will be required to work closely with the time scheduler to co-ordinate contract administration / claims and time scheduling.
To develop Contract Administration strategies and assist with the integration of project planning with Contract administration and claims management.
Experience
Must have experience of contract administration and claims work on high pressure pipelines.
Must have experience on work on site related to long cross-country / desert pipelines.
Must have some experience claims management involving extension of time issues. Experience of large-scale international claims is essential.
Experience of work in North Africa or the Middle East an advantage.
Qualification
Must have a recognised professional qualification
Experience with a Asian company an advantage
